1. LCOC GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING TONIGHT
Come out for our monthly meeting tonight at the Captain's Inn! Open
networking starts at 6:30 PM and the meeting and dinner start at 7:00
Our Speaker will be Susan Best Jones, owner/designer of S. Best
Designs, a web and graphic design business. S. Best Designs has been
in business for 18 years but Susan has been designing forever. She
started out working in NYC in various studios. From there she went to
Boston working in different studios doing work for some of the major
area hospitals and John Hancock Insurance. She returned to NYC
designed for Metropolitan Life and magazine promotion for Hearst
magazines, Cosmopolitan and Esquire to name a few. Back in New Jersey,
she has worked with many small and mid size businesses doing just
about everything from key rings to billboards. She loves design and
making her clients look good. She will be speaking on the importance
of Branding your business and how it helps grow your business.
Our Member Spotlight will be on Rhonda Tomko from Grace Initiatives.
2. NETWORKING BREAKFAST/AFTER HOURS EVENTS
A. One week until ConvexSERV’s 4th Annual Business After Hours
Networking Event! As with past years, this event is free and open to
the public for all business owners/operators/managers. We are located
in the Village Green Shopping Plaza, at 118 North Main St (Route 9) in
Forked River. The event is May 21 from 5:30-7:30pm. Come prepared for
delicious food, a relaxed networking atmosphere, and an opportunity to
win prizes/giveaways/doorbusters! We have several fellow Lacey Chamber
members that are vendors at this event . Come support
them while you network about your own business. Please RSVP to Ruth by

3. PROMOTE YOUR BUSINESS WITH THE LCOC
A. Second Quarter Welcome Bags are going out. We will need 125 pieces
to be brought to Tonight's Meeting. If you cannot make it the
meeting, you can contact Janet Levy to make alternate arrangements:

Annual NJ Chili & Salsa Cook Off on May 17 in Toms River. Please

Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser on May 24, 2014, from 8:00 to 10:00 AM,
at the Manahawkin Applebee's.
9. FROM EVIDEO PRODUCTIONS
Local business owners: You can help out Team Callis and the American
Cancer Society's Relay For Life by sponsoring a track sign! For as
little as $125, a sign with your company name or message on it will be
displayed on the track at the Relay for Life event. The Berkeley/Lacey
event is May 31-June 1, but your sign can go up at any of the events
